A little bit about us
Seventeen years of singing for wellbeing!
We’re the i choir, a community choir that’s upbeat, welcoming and lots of fun, we all share a love of singing as a common bond.
Based in Liverpool our roots are in getting together and singing for mental wellbeing.
We know singing is good for you and belonging to the choir has been life changing for all of us.
We’re inclusive, everyone is welcome to come and sing with us, we hope to show by example that including all people and talking openly about mental health is the way to change people’s attitudes, dispel myths and challenge stereotypes.
Best of all we have lots of fun doing it!
Come and join us - we have rehearsal space at St Bride’s Church on Percy Street, Liverpool L8 7LT. We sing there every Tuesday evening from 6.45 to 7.45 pm.
Subs are £4.00 per week but your first session is free (!)
If you like what we do after a month of attending you can then set up a monthly Direct Debit - easy!
Don’t be shy - none of us are Michael Buble or Adele, you don’t have to read music and there’s no audition, just a warm welcome and lots of laughter.
We sing a wide variety of songs with an emphasis on harmony, from Beach Boys to Coldplay to Beatles, and lots of world music.
We're directed by our professional and ever patient Musical Director, Chris Snell. Chris is a highly experienced musician, producer, arranger & educator.
Amongst other things he's produced bed tracks for U.S. Rapper MF Doom & conducted the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra on Beatle Day .......so he's ready for anything!
We perform at events on a regular basis and thoroughly enjoy ourselves!
